Located in north Carlsbad, Hosp Grove Park boasts one of the most extensive trails in the city’s trail system, meandering through a vast grove of mature eucalyptus trees. These trees, originally planted for the railroad industry, were intended to be used in constructing rail lines. However, after discovering the wood’s inferior quality for this purpose, the trees were preserved, and the area eventually became part of the city’s park system.
Today, Hosp Grove Park offers an escape from city life, with unpaved trails that climb over 100 feet in elevation, revealing stunning views of the adjacent Buena Vista Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean.
