Trainers, on Monday, December 4th, between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, we observed a subtle change in nesting behavior coinciding with the introduction of Mateo in Routes and the launch of the Special Research Story: “A Route to New Friendships.”
Initial estimates suggest that about 20% of nests underwent migration. The data compiled below aims to deepen our understanding of nesting behaviors. It documents which species migrated, which species replaced them, and which Pokémon became available or are expected to become available as part of the Along the Routes event .
Also, referencing the Master Nesting Species List, we note the position change of the new nesting species, compared to the prior nesting species. While there is nothing conclusive at this time, with enough data, a pattern may emerge in the future.
Species Migrations
Shellder
Krabby
Cubchoo
Golett
Roggenrola
Sewaddle
Fennekin
Froakie
Dewpider
Crabrawler
Spritzee
Swirlix
Gulpin
Numel
Dwebble
Solosis
Vanillite
Deerling Autumn Form
Lillipup
Purrloin
For example, if a nest was Charmander, and then migrated to Squirtle, the position change would be noted +1 slots as Squirtle is next in the Master Nesting Species List.
