Nesting Site Note: Griffith Park is an incredibly large park consisting of mostly hiking trails. The exact nest boundaries here are not known but the known nesting site is the area East of Vista Del Valle Drive with the upper boundary near the Old Zoo site.
This area consists of the Joe Klass Water Stop, The Old Zoo, 5-Points, Vista Viewpoint, Cedar Grove, and the following trails: Old Zoo Trails, Fern Canyon Trail, Upper and Lower Beacon Trails, Coolidge Trail, Cadman Trail, Cedar Grove Trail. For a general view of the area, view this video.
Parking is available by the Merry Go Round and by the Griffith Park Cafe.
Note: Wilson and Harding Golf Courses and the Griffith Park Recreation Center are separate nesting sites.
