Lincoln Park, Long Beach’s oldest park established in 1880, has been rejuvenated into a modern, multifaceted space as the final component of the new Long Beach Civic Center.
The park, which reopened in February 2022, is now a core part of the downtown area, seamlessly blending historic charm with contemporary amenities. It features a universally accessible playground, dog park with areas for small and large breeds, fitness equipment, and a synthetic turf sports field. Additionally, there’s a half basketball court, a skate park, and unique Discovery Zones designed for learning and exploration.
The park also offers lush grass areas for seating and play, enhancing its appeal as a community gathering spot. Notably, it houses the Lincoln Statue & 13-ft Lincoln Penny Installation, adding a touch of historical significance. This rejuvenated space is perfect for a Pokémon Go adventure, where trainers can explore and engage with both the past and present, enhancing their experience in the world of Pokémon!
