Trainers, Chollas Lake Park in San Diego, a lush oasis near downtown Lemon Grove, awaits your exploration. Located off College Grove Drive, this park, centered around a reservoir built in 1901, offers a serene environment for both nature lovers and Pokémon enthusiasts. The Lake Path, a 0.8-mile dirt trail encircling the lake, is perfect for walking, strolling, or biking.
There are two playground areas for younger visitors, with the larger one just west of the main entrance. The park, a haven for birdwatchers, is home to Canadian geese, mallard ducks, coots, and occasionally swans, egrets, and herons. Red-tailed hawks and crows add to the avian spectacle.
Eucalyptus trees lining the trail create a shady canopy, ideal for a leisurely walk or a jog. The flat trail, complemented by fitness equipment like pull-up and push-up bars, is great for a fitness walk. Dogs are welcome on a leash, adding to the park’s friendly atmosphere. Open daily from 6:30 a.m. until just before sunset, Chollas Lake Park is a delightful retreat for community activities, fitness, and discovering Pokémon in a tranquil setting.
