There are two playground areas for younger visitors, with the larger one just west of the main entrance. The park, a haven for birdwatchers, is home to Canadian geese, mallard ducks, coots, and occasionally swans, egrets, and herons. Red-tailed hawks and crows add to the avian spectacle.
Eucalyptus trees lining the trail create a shady canopy, ideal for a leisurely walk or a jog. The flat trail, complemented by fitness equipment like pull-up and push-up bars, is great for a fitness walk. Dogs are welcome on a leash, adding to the park’s friendly atmosphere. Open daily from 6:30 a.m. until just before sunset, Chollas Lake Park is a delightful retreat for community activities, fitness, and discovering Pokémon in a tranquil setting.
